Happy 73rd Birthday!

Wednesday I spent the day with my friend celebrating her 73rd birthday.  For some reason I have always been drawn to older people.  God has put a special place in my heart for them and honestly it seems I get along better with older, more mature people than I do most people my own age.

When I became a widow I was surrounded even more with older ladies.  In the widows Bible study group, that I started attending a few months ago, I am the youngest in the group but that doesn't bother me.  I am able to share my struggles of widowhood (singleness) and they understand and can share their wisdom with me.

Since March, when I started having seizures, I have really been struggling to figure out what God wants me to do with my life.

When I was a little girl all I ever wanted to be was a wife and mother.  God blessed me with Mike in 2002 and I had the privilege of being his wife for 8 years and then God called Mike home in August 2010.

By 2012 I finally figured out that I wanted to do missions trips to share God's love with other widows and I joined up with Good Goers and went on 2 different missions trips to New Mexico.  It was wonderful to be able to be the hands and feet of Jesus and help spread His love by painting, cleaning and loving these widows.

Then on March 7, 2014, when I had my grand mal seizure, things changed again for me.  Since then I have been trying to figure out what I should do now since I am limited with my traveling at least until the doctors figure out what is going on with me.  That is still an ongoing process and honestly I don't have any idea when my seizures will get under control.

So I started searching again to see what God wanted me to do with my life to bring him honor and glory.  I realized that just picking up the phone and calling a widow is a blessing to them.  I also realized that even when widows are surrounded by family, they are still lonely and planning a "date night" or get together with them can be a huge blessing.

Since God has me in this season of being a widow, I pray I learn how I can best reach out to other widows and bless them.

October Health Update

This month I actually went two weeks with no seizures, at least I think I didn't have any seizures.  A few nights I did wake up in the middle of the night and I felt like I had a seizure but I wasn't sure if I was just dreaming or if I really did have a seizure.

I can definitely say 2 weeks passed with no seizures during the day.  I thought I was finally on the right medicine and the proper dosage but then this week I have had 2 seizures, so I don't know.

I was praying the other day about not letting my life slip away without using it for the Lord's work so I got in contact with the leader from my last two missions trips.  Good Goers stopped organizing missions trips but he did say because I was a previous Good Goer that they would be able to work with me.  I found out they are doing a trip to Haiti in February to help at the Little's Angels orphanage.  When I saw the pictures my heart just melted but with my seizures still not under control, I just don't know how much to push myself.  The last thing I would want to do is be in Haiti and have a grand mal seizure.

Praying for wisdom as the Lord directs my steps.

I had my hormones tested and blood results came back all good.  I have a doctor's appointment the end of this month with the neurologist so I will see what he says.

James 1:2-4 ~ Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds,  for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.  And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

Lilla Rose Opportunity

www.lillarose.biz/zizzie78

I joined Lilla Rose back in 2012, basically just to get the discount on my flexi clips and be able to buy clips at a discount to give as gifts and any money I made I used towards my missions trips to New Mexico.

Two years later and I am amazed how God has blessed.  Last year I reached supervisor level and I decided that the profit I made from my Lilla Rose business would go to support a wonderful family who is headed to Togo for medical missions.

In February, Lilla Rose had it's first convention which opened my eyes to see the wide range of women in different walks of life who have signed up to sell Lilla Rose and it made me realize the opportunity can be a huge blessing for many and I needed to share the opportunity with others.

The ladies in attendance ranged from a 15 year old girl who basically runs the entire business under her Mom's name until she reaches 18 when she can sign up for herself, to a lady who is a truck driver, to a lady who joined just after her husband left her and her children, to a homeschooling Mom of 10 children, to a grandma who recently became a widow.

Besides the awesome, unique products that Lilla Rose has to offer they are a fabulous company that doesn't put lots of requirements and obligations on people.

Literally the only requirement is $29 in sales a year. It's perfect because that's basically buying a few clips for myself or buying to give as a gift and it allows me to get a discount and stay an active consultant.

They also give you a free replicated website where you can take the business as far as you want to take it.  You make your business as big as YOU want to make it.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask me.
God Bless!
