Sunday School

Saturday Kathy had her wisdom teeth removed so she wasn't able to do much talking on Sunday.  Since she normally teaches the little children, she had Paul go in with her and teach.  Even though it was a huge step out of his comfort zone, he did a wonderful job.  I was in the back of the room with a baby and when I looked over and saw Paul helping little "E" I had to snap a picture so I could post it here because I knew Mrs G would appreciate it.

Church Picnic

Saturday we had our yearly church picnic and as usual it was a great time of fellowship, food, fun, family and friends! Here are a few of my favorite pictures I took:

A Heart for Missions

Monday was a day full of mixed emotions for me.  We had the privilege of having Tom and Melissa over for dinner one last time before they started their travels back east.  We had a wonderful time of fellowship and my heart was full of joy but the time came to say goodbye and it was bitter-sweet. I am so excited for them and the start of their journey to Africa as missionaries.  I'm so thankful God allowed our paths to cross because I've learned so much from Tom and Melissa's Godly example.  Pray with me as this precious family starts this new season in their life.  To God Be The Glory! “People who do not know the Lord ask why in the world we waste our lives as missionaries. They forget that they too are expending their lives… and when the bubble has burst they will have nothing of eternal significance to show for the years they have wasted.” Nate Saint, missionary to Ecuador

LV Rescue Mission

Friday night we went to minister at the rescue mission.  Because of work we weren't able to make it for the food serving portion but we did get to minister through music.  Four Men from church shared testimonies  We sang two songs ~ Complete In Thee and My Jesus Fair!  Pastor ended the evening with a gospel message. May God be Glorified through our serving!

Rescue Mission Ministry

Image
Last year our church volunteered at the rescue mission by serving food.  This year Pastor arranged for us to also minister by doing a church service.  Friday night was our first one and we are scheduled for one next month also.   I would also like to volunteer at the thrift store one day during the week.   getting ready for the service there was a great turnout and Lord willing  There were a few men and women that came forward after the service.  Pray for them as they seek to know the Lord more each day. To God Be The Glory!

Yee-Haw!

For our spring banquet this year we decided we wanted to have a theme.  Kathy and I thought cowboy theme would be fun and it sure was!  We were able to keep it simple and not get stressed out.  I think everyone had a fabulous time.  I know I sure did!
