Happenings ~ Continued

I think I might have found a way to share pictures of what's been happening in my life lately.  Atleast this is a workaround until I figure this issue out.  I am going to share links of pictures I posted on Facebook and I hope the links will work for everyone. Kathy had a party for Paul's 37th birthday.  She rented out the room in the back of our favorite pizza place and after church on December 2nd we all gathered to enjoy some fabulous food and fellowship. I had the LIFT (Ladies In Fellowship Together) activity at the house so the ladies from church came over.   Kathy and I had made lots of Praying for you , Thinking of You ,   and  Just Because  cards, so I had each lady pick out 52 cards to take home with them and I challenged them to mail out one card each week to encourage someone in the church. Our church as a Christmas banquet each year, not only to celebrate our Savior's birth but also to celebrate the anniversary of our church.  W...

I've been enjoying working with the little kiddos at church.  I watch the babies and Kathy teaches the little ones.  She does a wonderful job and I always enjoy listening and watching her teach. Kathy and I had the day off work so along with running errands and getting some clothes shopping done, we also met up with Paul for lunch, which isn't something Kathy gets to do very often since she is normally always working. Thankful to have the cooler weather so we could enjoy some homemade chili!  yummy!  One of the local churches was collecting clothes to give to the homeless so I went through my clothes and I was able to get a big trash bag full of clothes together to donate.  Glad to report they were all clothes that were too big on me.  I haven't gotten back on track with Weight Watchers since my trip to Florida but hope to soon.  We had our LIFT (Ladies In Fellowship Together) event and along with great food and fellowship we also di...

Somehow I lost a week in all my traveling and of course fell behind in posting and now I am all confused with my Project 365 post.  I am just going to share lots of pictures and hope to get you all caught up. October has been crazy busy with lots of trips for me but I am so thankful for each trip I made.  I got to spend a week with Mike's family in Florida  It was wonderful getting to spend time with Roger and Megan and building a closer relationship with them. We carved pumpkins We went to Sea World Went to school and ate lunch with them We went bowling and while we were bowling Roger lost a tooth. Walked them to their bus stop and helped with homework after school. Had fun playing with Zoey and had lots of very long days :-) Enjoyed lots of delicious food! Made cake pops and empanadas We joined a food co-op and have really been enjoying it. Got some pickles canned after getting a crate full of pickling cucumbers.  Kath...

P365 ~ Week 42

I'm feeling a little behind since I have been going non stop this month but I am finally sitting down to get this post done.  I got to spend the week with friends I haven't seen in a LONG time.   We got to celebrate Amy's 40th birthday on a girls cruise.  We played lots of hand and foot.  While we were at port and everyone was off the ship, Kathy and I enjoyed quiet reading time reading. One afternoon as we were reading, one of the employees decided to sit down during his break and play the piano.  The two ports we stopped at we met up with other cruise ships.  It's always fun to see the different ships.   My favorite towel creature from this week.  I will end this post with a picture of me that Kathy took while we were playing around with the camera. Now I'm going to head on over to Sara's to catch up on everyone else's week.

P365 ~ Week 41

My week started off at the airport waiting for my flight to New Mexico.  After my missions trip in July I knew that I wanted to go back to Pine Dale and once I heard that the leader from that trip was going back in October I thought it would be great if I could make it.  God not only worked it out that I could make the trip but also 2 others from our July trip were able to come back.  This was the entire Good Goers team for the October 8-13 trip.   It was amazing to me how quickly we all bonded and how well we worked together.  We were able to accomplish 3 days of work into 1 1/2 days which gave us an opportunity to help another Navajo widow.  Alta's house was all blue... ceiling, walls... everything!  Our first step was to empty out the rooms and start prepping the room for painting.  Marietta making us some Indian Fry Bread.... yummy!  The group enjoying Navajo tacos Sonny did all the hard work like inst...
