P365 ~ Week 34

Image
This was a FULL week for us but it was a GOOD week. For a treat on Sunday night we went to Yogurt-land ...  we all had a good laugh because Paul piled his cup with so many snickers that it was overflowing.  I think he eats snickers with a little frozen yogurt :-)  Came home from work and got this in the mail... Paul's diploma!  Tuesday I was invited to stamp with some friends... it was 4 of us ladies laughing and having a great time together.  We were able to complete several cards also.  This week we started something new - more activity... a friend/coworker of Kathy's has a gym at her neighborhood so we headed over there after work... had dinner and then got some exercise time in.   I had to take a picture of our dinner because I thought it was funny to see the two different kinds of hot dogs cooking... can you tell which ones are only 1 point?  :-)  Another day of exercise time... I got in 45 minutes on the treadmill.....

TSMSS ~ One of These Mornings

Hair Accessories + Purses + Jewelry = Missions

Last Friday I spent the day in prayer and fasting so I could focused on my relationship with the Lord and the direction for my life. On my last missions trip the book Reckless Faith by Beth Guckengerber was recommended to me.  When I got back home I had Kathy order the book through Amazon for me to read and I am so glad I did.  This book put a whole new perspective on my thinking of Missions and my Faith.  I feel rejuvenated and on fire for the Lord.  I want to use the time I have hear on earth to do God's work as best as I can. I realize I need money to go on missions trip, so the first decision I made was to sign up for Lilla Rose hair accessories.  I can sell them and make an instant 30% on my sales which will be a huge help and the reason I chose Lilla Rose was because they don't have minimum monthly sales requirements to stay active.  So if I go a month and have no sales it's ok I can pick up the next month and still ...

This week was an emotional week for me but I have to say now as I am writing this I feel rejuvenated and on fire for the Lord.  Thank you God for your all sufficient grace! The week started with a Life Seminar at church and it was fabulous.  Pastor Jeffers is an excellent speaker.  Sunday night we finished up the last session of the seminar and we spent some time singing and sharing testimonies from things we learned or were challenged with during the seminar.  We sang the song Rejoice in the Lord by Ron Hamilton (you can read all the lyrics on Kathy's blog ).  The chorus starts by saying "Oh rejoice in the Lord, He makes no mistakes" and I fully believe God makes NO mistakes.  It gives me such peace knowing that Mike dying at such a young age and so suddenly was not a mistake.  It was always in God's plan...that was His perfect will.  I don't know why but I can have peace know God is in control and He makes no mistakes! Had to make a guy bir...

TSMSS ~ What A Day That Will Be

Two Years

It's hard to believe it's only been two years since Mike went to Heaven.  I say "only" because it feels like I haven't had Mike in my life for much longer than two years.  Each day without my beloved husband feels like years. Mike was an amazing husband.  He was a great provider, he took care of my needs and so many of my wants.  Actually Mike had a hard time saying NO to me so I had to be careful not to abuse that.  He supported me in anything I wanted to do and He was always there to help me through anything. He would always say his job was to make me laugh every day and he DID make me laugh EVERY day.  I actually REALLY miss that.  I realize I am more of a serious type person so he balanced me out so well.  Not that Mike wasn't serious but he knew when he needed to act like an adult and be serious and when he could be like a big kid and laugh and play. He was a romantic.  He loved planning out trips and surprising me.  I have lot...
