While visiting the pumpkin farm last week we bought a huge butternut squash. I made Curried Butternut Squash Soup with Lime Crema. It was delicious but I must say I added way more spices than what the recipe called for. Pictured below is Mike's bowl of soup, I tried to make a heart with the Lime Crema. After doing some touch up work on our walls, I put this saying on the wall. I bought this vinyl letting decoration back when I went to Pennsylvania to visit my grandparents. I can't believe it took me this long to finally get it up.
We had a good downpour this week and Mike was so excited when he looked outside he could see our rocks working just like we had hoped they would. The water was running through the rocks instead of creating a path through the dirt.

I went out to check eggs and I think we have a broody hen again. Well I took this picture with two hens in boxes but really the one on the right is the one that is broody. I know this because she has been in the box for 4 days now. When you stick your hand anywhere close to her she pecks to protect the eggs she is laying on.
Mike wanted me to take some more pictures of "odd ball". This is the freebie we got when we ordered out 25 chicks from Murray McMurray.
Sunday was an excellent day. After a message on 1 Corinthians 13, we had a baptism at the park followed by a picnic, some fellowship time for the women and football playing time for the men.

Glad to see the rocks are working as planned...that's great! I can't believe how big the chicks have got! The kids ask about them all the time.
