P365 ~ Week 42

I'm feeling a little behind since I have been going non stop this month but I am finally sitting down to get this post done.  I got to spend the week with friends I haven't seen in a LONG time.

We got to celebrate Amy's 40th birthday on a girls cruise.

We played lots of hand and foot.
While we were at port and everyone was off the ship, Kathy and I enjoyed quiet reading time reading. One afternoon as we were reading, one of the employees decided to sit down during his break and play the piano.
The two ports we stopped at we met up with other cruise ships.  It's always fun to see the different ships.
My favorite towel creature from this week.
I will end this post with a picture of me that Kathy took while we were playing around with the camera.
Now I'm going to head on over to Sara's to catch up on everyone else's week.

Today would have been Mike's 46th birthday.  I am so thankful for the years we had together and all the memories we made.  I am so blessed to have had Mike in my life!

P365 ~ Week 41

My week started off at the airport waiting for my flight to New Mexico.  After my missions trip in July I knew that I wanted to go back to Pine Dale and once I heard that the leader from that trip was going back in October I thought it would be great if I could make it.  God not only worked it out that I could make the trip but also 2 others from our July trip were able to come back.
This was the entire Good Goers team for the October 8-13 trip.
It was amazing to me how quickly we all bonded and how well we worked together.  We were able to accomplish 3 days of work into 1 1/2 days which gave us an opportunity to help another Navajo widow.
Alta's house was all blue... ceiling, walls... everything!  Our first step was to empty out the rooms and start prepping the room for painting.
Marietta making us some Indian Fry Bread.... yummy!
 The group enjoying Navajo tacos
Sonny did all the hard work like installing a new hot water heater, fan and faucets in the kitchen and bathroom.  It was such a blessing to have him there because without him we would not have been able to accomplish any of that.
This is me and Alta... Alta is such a special lady.  I am so glad we were able to bless her by working on her house this week.
Our last day we took a trip to the grand canyon.  We had snow, wind, rain, sunshine and rainbows.  It was a cold, wet day but I'm glad we were able to enjoy God's beauty!
Flew home from New Mexico just in time to get ready for Betty's 80th birthday celebration.  Happy Birthday Betty!
Well this is my week and now I'm off to catch my next flight which is to Tampa to meet up with some friends to celebrate another birthday by going on a girls cruise.  See you next week everyone!

P365 ~ Week 40

Some Sundays we get to have some sweet girls sit with us during the morning service.  Kathy gets to hold this sweet little girl and every time she falls asleep... just precious!
Paul mentioned that his Mom use to make homemade granola so Kathy and I spend some time in the kitchen making a few batches of granola for him to enjoy.
Had a friend over to stamp.  This is one of the cards I made while she was over.  I'm really not sure I like it.  It didn't turn out how I thought it would.
These are two of several different kinds of cards my friend made.  These were my favorite designs so I made some for myself.
Kathy had to run an errand and since it was next to a Cold Stone Creamery and we had some gift cards to use we stopped and enjoyed some dessert.
We had our Ladies In Fellowship Together(LIFT) over at Rebecca's house.  We had a great time laughing, talking, eating and playing games.
Had a neighborhood garage sale and lets just say it was a really sunny day :-)
I got my owl flexi in the mail and I love it!
Now I am heading over to Sara's to see how every else is doing.

P365 ~ Week 39

I'm a week behind on Project 365 and I was going to put both weeks together but I have lots of pictures so I am going to keep the weeks separate.

Had an interesting start of the week.  We had a couple from church over for lunch and we planned on grilling steak but our gas grill would not heat up.  So we jumped in the car and headed to our local Argentine restaurant instead ~ Rincon de Buenos Aires.  Enjoyed some delicious food and great fellowship.
We got some delicious kiwis at the store.  I really enjoyed them!  Here's a question for you - do you eat the skin?
We met some friends at our favorite pizza place  ~ Grimaldi's.  After enjoying some fabulous pizza we devoured a slice of chocolate cheesecake. Yummy!
Kathy's creation after enjoying some relaxing time in the craft room.
Kathy and I were meeting some friends after work to go to Bodies - The Exhibition and we had just enough time to go to the Bellagio and look at the gardens.  Something new that we had never seen before was a harpist as part of the decorations.  The live music was lovely!

I made some cards with Spanish sentiments for Paul's parents to use in Argentina.  It was fun and I may  make a few to have on hand and also to post on my etsy store.

Now to work on my pictures from Week 40.

Spreading the Word & Chickens Everywhere

Sorry this post is late but better late than never.   Last year we decided to reach out to one of the missionaries we support when it cam...
