P365 ~ Week 22

Project 365 button designed by http://richgift.blogspot.com
My week started off with having to have some blood drawn to make sure my thyroid medicine was working good. Little did I know the experience would be horrible. The lady stuck the needle in my arm and kept moving it... in and out and all around drying to hit the vain. After I couldn't take it any more, I told her sometimes they take it from my hand. Big Mistake - she did take it from my hand and ended up giving me a huge bruise. My right arm hurt for days. I hope I don't have to experience that again.
Kathy and I took some time to get pedicures. We found the best place ever. We go for the "ice cream" pedicure which starts with selecting an "ice cream scoop" which is a ball of salts and oils that gets put in the water. Normally our pedicures last about two hours. They do an awesome job! In addition to the normal pedicure process we also get a scrub, paraffin wax and hot stone message. After two hours of this kind of pampering I am totally relaxed. This is what happens when the local grocery store puts blueberries on sale for $1.00... we bought 25 of them. They are so sweet and delicious!
Saturday we enjoyed a relaxing day at home. I think my body was trying to fight something because I was very tired, cold alot and I also ended up with a cold soar on my mouth. So I was very thankful for a day to relax and just do whatever I wanted to do. Nothing was planned. Paul decided to enjoy the outdoors while I assembled the pens he made for the Father's at our church. He makes some beautiful pens.

P365 ~ Week 21

Project 365 button designed by http://richgift.blogspot.com

Sunday - We had a family from church over. Their girls were adorable. Here are a few pictures I took.Monday - I was so tired I don't remember doing much of anything this night so of course I didn't take a picture. I decided to share a picture of a card I received in the mail a few weeks back from friends in GA. I loved the card they made for me and I just had to share it with you.

Tuesday - Another day of no pictures taking... sorry we were out late at a friends house and we were having so much fun talking that I totally forgot to take a picture. So here is a picture of my Easter gift from Kathy and Paul. Yes, I am spoiled.

Wednesday - This was a bitter sweet day for me. I would have celebrated 9 years of marriage with Mike. When a friend from church found out she decided we should celebrate my special day. She called some ladies from church and we went to PF Changs. I was able to share lots of memories of my life with Mike. I was humbled and blessed by these sweet ladies. Thursday - Sushi night with Lana. No this is not a new way of eating sushi. She actually ordered ice cream balls (don't know the real name) and we were talking so much that some of the ice cream melted. It was so good that she had to get every last bit of it with a straw. Friday - We took our Pastor and his family to Grimaldis... our favorite pizza place!

Saturday - Dinner with friends from church. Paul was playing bubbles with their youngest. It was cute and funny to watch Paul.

P365 ~ Week 20

Project 365 button designed by http://richgift.blogspot.com

For Kathy's birthday we celebrated by going on a 4 day cruise. We decided to also take 2 ladies from our church. It was a wonderful time of getting to know these ladies hearts. I am really looking forward to the ladies retreat in October.

Sunday - We started our road trip to California in the afternoon and we got stuck in some really bad traffic so it took us much longer that expected. Since we weren't getting to the hotel until late, we decided to stop at Outback and eat dinner. We totally forgot that it was Mother's day and ended up having to wait over an hour to get seated but the food was wonderful, the service was great and we were on vacation so we were happy! Below is a picture of the two ladies we took with us on our trip... Pam and Tammi

Monday - Kathy got us all matching shirts to wear on our first day cruising.

Tuesday - Catalina Islands was our first stop. Pam and I stayed on the boat and enjoyed laying out in the sun, reading and relaxing.

Wednesday - We stopped at Ensenada and we took an excursion to the "Bufadora". We had fun eating and shopping. Then we decided to lay out in the sun. Poor Kathy got her legs burned.

Thursday - Was day at sea so we enjoyed playing Hand and Foot by the piano bar. Christopher (the piano player) was really good. I didn't recognize most of the songs he played but he did a wonderful job.

Friday - Our wait staff during dinner was excellent. The first night we were there Than seemed serious and almost like he had no personality. Then the music came on and he was a completely different man. We were laughing so much. After that first night we requested him by name!

Saturday - Honestly I can't remember what we did and I don't think I have a picture for this day so I decided to share a picture of my favorite towel animal during the cruise.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day, now check out Sara's blog to see what's happening.

P365 ~ Week 17 & 18

Here are some pictures from the past two weeks. I don't have them in any order but I wanted to share them anyway.

I made this sympathy card for Jane (friend of the family) whose Dad passed away this past week.

This little boy is so precious. He is the happiest little thing. He started crying because he was hungry but he still gave us smiles.

We got to meet Miss Wylma's bird Pepe.
Went to CVS and got some great deals....one of those deals was this water... a 24 pack for $1.98... you can't beat that.

Warning: If you haven't tried these candies yet, don't start. They are delicious and you wont be able stop. A coworker brought them in one day and by the end of the day they were all gone. At first I didn't try them because she said they were dark chocolate and marshmallow and that didn't interest me at all. Then someone tried one and described it as fudge tasting and I just had to try it. So heed my warning people! If you haven't tried them yet then stay away! They are addictingly good!

This picture is mostly for my Mom... see I got the 2 black frames hung up. Aren't you proud of me :-)

Dealing with medical bills is never fun but Praise the Lord I got a call back and they told me they coded it incorrectly and the insurance should take care of all of it.

Birthday card I made using the cuddle bug machine I got as a Christmas gift. Things have been busy and crazy and this is the first chance I've been able to use it.

Children at church singing and reciting scripture

Our first baptism for our church was on Easter Sunday. We had 3 people baptised. It was an awesome day!

Don't Forget

It has been an event filled week/weekend with the royal wedding and the news of Osama Bin Laden but I fear that America has forgotten about those affected by the tornadoes that went through the Southeast states earlier in the week.
Christie over at Divine Calling has a great post on her blog. Go over and read her post and check out the videos of three Christian families from Alabama.
If God lays it on your heart to help financially go to this website and please be sure to keep these families in your prayers in the days, weeks, and months to come.

Spreading the Word & Chickens Everywhere

Sorry this post is late but better late than never.   Last year we decided to reach out to one of the missionaries we support when it cam...
