Loaves & Fish

Image
Yesterday morning I had the privilege of participating in a ministry called Loaves & Fish.  Every Tuesday morning believers from different churches gather in North Las Vegas to reach out to the homeless and hungry by sharing the gospel through an evangelistic message and by providing a hot meal…feeding both their souls and their bodies. God worked out transportation for me and I praise the Lord for the opportunity to serve.  Lord willing I hope to continue this ministry on Tuesday mornings.  Please pray with me as I continue to seek His will for my life. It always amazes me how you go to bless someone, but you walk away being more blessed yourself.

October Health Update

This month I actually went two weeks with no seizures, at least I think I didn't have any seizures.  A few nights I did wake up in the middle of the night and I felt like I had a seizure but I wasn't sure if I was just dreaming or if I really did have a seizure. I can definitely say 2 weeks passed with no seizures during the day.  I thought I was finally on the right medicine and the proper dosage but then this week I have had 2 seizures, so I don't know. I was praying the other day about not letting my life slip away without using it for the Lord's work so I got in contact with the leader from my last two missions trips.  Good Goers stopped organizing missions trips but he did say because I was a previous Good Goer that they would be able to work with me.  I found out they are doing a trip to Haiti in February to help at the Little's Angels orphanage.  When I saw the pictures my heart just melted but with my seizures still not under control, I just don...

Uganda Missions Trip

Image
My heart is very burdened for missions and when I heard that my friend's daughter and son where going on a missions trip to Uganda, I knew I wanted to help spread the word so others could also help, both by praying as well as giving.  Check out their blog for more details!

A Heart for Missions

Image
Monday was a day full of mixed emotions for me.  We had the privilege of having Tom and Melissa over for dinner one last time before they started their travels back east.  We had a wonderful time of fellowship and my heart was full of joy but the time came to say goodbye and it was bitter-sweet. I am so excited for them and the start of their journey to Africa as missionaries.  I'm so thankful God allowed our paths to cross because I've learned so much from Tom and Melissa's Godly example.  Pray with me as this precious family starts this new season in their life.  To God Be The Glory! “People who do not know the Lord ask why in the world we waste our lives as missionaries. They forget that they too are expending their lives… and when the bubble has burst they will have nothing of eternal significance to show for the years they have wasted.” Nate Saint, missionary to Ecuador

Hair Accessories + Purses + Jewelry = Missions

Last Friday I spent the day in prayer and fasting so I could focused on my relationship with the Lord and the direction for my life. On my last missions trip the book Reckless Faith by Beth Guckengerber was recommended to me.  When I got back home I had Kathy order the book through Amazon for me to read and I am so glad I did.  This book put a whole new perspective on my thinking of Missions and my Faith.  I feel rejuvenated and on fire for the Lord.  I want to use the time I have hear on earth to do God's work as best as I can. I realize I need money to go on missions trip, so the first decision I made was to sign up for Lilla Rose hair accessories.  I can sell them and make an instant 30% on my sales which will be a huge help and the reason I chose Lilla Rose was because they don't have minimum monthly sales requirements to stay active.  So if I go a month and have no sales it's ok I can pick up the next month and still ...

I Signed Up Again!

Image
For the past few weeks I have been praying about going back to New Mexico and today I went onto goodgoers.com and signed up.  I actually took the last spot available for the trip in October.  Please pray that the people we minister to may see Jesus and His love through me.  To God be the Glory!

Good Goers NM Missions Trip

Image
The church we stayed at in Pinedale Bible written in Navajo. These were the cute little cots we slept in and may I say they were actually quite comfortable. New Mexico has some gorgeous sunsets... this picture doesn't do it justice. This is the Good Goers missions team.  It was a privilege to work along side these wonderful people. With all the financial gifts I received I was able to take a full suitcase of items to donate to the Navajos.  Thank you all for your support! First day of cleaning...this house has no electric and no indoor plumbing so cleaning was a bit more challenging but it was a great reminder to be thankful of all the comforts in life that we take for granted. We removed the broken stove from the house We got all the broken flooring pulled up. We swept and swept and swept the floors before painting. We painted all the floors We learned how to make fry bread Navajo taco made with the delicious fry br...
