The Knot Prayer

I recently found this blog called God's Gracefulness.  If you have never heard of this blog before I suggest you check it out and even sign up for their daily devotional feed.

They recently posted this prayer/poem and I thought it was wonderful so I wanted to share it on my blog.

The Knot Prayer

Dear God,

Please untie the knots that are in my mind, my heart, and my life.

Remove the have nots, cannots, and do nots.

Erase the will nots, may nots, might nots that may find a home in my heart.

Release me from the could nots, would nots, should nots that obstruct my life.

And most of all, Dear God, I ask that you remove from my mind, my heart, and my life all of the "am nots" that I have allowed to hold me back.

Especially the thought that I am not good enough.

Amen.

The Romantic

I was just thinking today what a romantic Mike was. He didn't wait for Valentine's day to show how much he loved me. He would do things often. Sometimes they were big, expensive things like surprise trips...but countless times it was the little inexpensive or free things that he did that showed his love to me. Like these logs he placed into a heart shape.  He was such a sweet, thoughtful, loving, encouraging husband!

P365 ~ Not sure what week

I just found this post sitting in my drafts.  I thought I had posted this but somehow I missed it so here goes.  Better late than never.
Journal/Notebooks I decorated to sell at the ladies retreat
Kathy's friend Brandee gave us a huge collection of Little's Pet Shop toys to give away to someone at church.  Before we gave it away Kathy set it all up at home and got a picture of it all.  There were so many pieces.
When Maureen was here visiting we went to get our famous ice cream pedicures.  We also invited Melissa (from church) to celebrate her birthday.  We had a fun and relaxing girls day.
We took Maureen to the outlets and of course, went shopping at Coach.
I made these Thanksgiving cards.  I thought they turned out GREAT!
I've been trying to keep up on my walking.  I  may not walk every day but I am now walking 3 miles at a time.
This was a free bottle of water we got at the grocery store.  I thought it was quite fancy for being water.
Kathy, Maureen and I went to Top of the World restaurant.  It was delicious, unique and fabulous.

Fall 2011 Ladies Retreat

This is the wonderful group of women from our church who I had the privileged to go to a retreat with.  It was great opportunity to get to know each one of them a little better.
 They had some games planned for us to participate in as a church group.
Dress a goat with the shirt and hat.
Knife throwing
 Matchbox car obstacle course
 Such concentration
 We also had craft time and Miss Shirley and Miss Betty were kind enough to make me some pumpkin decorations.
 Martha decided to to make one also.
 They even had a mechanical bull.  Jen did an awesome job on the bull.  She was a natural!
 Miss Betty didn't ride the bull but she wanted a picture on it.
 Roping time...
 Somehow I got roped into trying.

I love Tammi's expression!
 This is the example of the cake pop we made... mine didn't end up looking anything like this.  I learned that cake pops are much harder to make than I thought.
The Bible study sessions were challenging, encouraging and a blessing to me.  I can't wait for the next retreat.

TSMSS ~ The Bible Stands

During my devotions this past week I pulled out a hymnal I had at home. I wanted to find a song to sing and possibly even try to memorize. I came across The Bible Stands written and put to music by Haldor Lillenas.  Listen to the music and read through the words.  May be a blessing to you as it was to me.

The Bible Stands

The Bible stands like a rock undaunted
Mid the raging storms of time;
Its pages burn with the truth eternal,
 And they glow with a light sub-lime.

CHORUS
The Bible stands though the hills may tumble,
It will firmly stand when the earth shall crumble;
I will plant my feet on its firm foundation,
For the Bible stands.

The Bible stands like a mountain tow'ring
Far above the works of men;
Its truth by none ever was refuted,
And destroy it they never can.

The Bible stands and it will forever,
When the world has passed away;
By inspiration it has been given,
All its precepts I will obey.

The Bible stands every test we give it,
For its Author is divine;
By grace alone I expect to live it,
And to prove it and make it mine.

Pampered Chef Party

Kathy and I had a Pampered Chef party on Saturday.  It was a great day of fellowship with some sweet ladies from our church.  Sharing just a few pictures from that fun day.
