P365 ~ Week 41

My week started off at the airport waiting for my flight to New Mexico.  After my missions trip in July I knew that I wanted to go back to Pine Dale and once I heard that the leader from that trip was going back in October I thought it would be great if I could make it.  God not only worked it out that I could make the trip but also 2 others from our July trip were able to come back.
This was the entire Good Goers team for the October 8-13 trip.
It was amazing to me how quickly we all bonded and how well we worked together.  We were able to accomplish 3 days of work into 1 1/2 days which gave us an opportunity to help another Navajo widow.
Alta's house was all blue... ceiling, walls... everything!  Our first step was to empty out the rooms and start prepping the room for painting.
Marietta making us some Indian Fry Bread.... yummy!
 The group enjoying Navajo tacos
Sonny did all the hard work like installing a new hot water heater, fan and faucets in the kitchen and bathroom.  It was such a blessing to have him there because without him we would not have been able to accomplish any of that.
This is me and Alta... Alta is such a special lady.  I am so glad we were able to bless her by working on her house this week.
Our last day we took a trip to the grand canyon.  We had snow, wind, rain, sunshine and rainbows.  It was a cold, wet day but I'm glad we were able to enjoy God's beauty!
Flew home from New Mexico just in time to get ready for Betty's 80th birthday celebration.  Happy Birthday Betty!
Well this is my week and now I'm off to catch my next flight which is to Tampa to meet up with some friends to celebrate another birthday by going on a girls cruise.  See you next week everyone!

My husband and daughter are the missionaries in the family. I know when you are in the position to help others you reap as well as sow in your own life as well.

The Grand Canyon is one of God's truly majestic creations.

Lastly, Girl's Cruise...I need one of those!

Blessings

Can't believe I'm so behind on your posts!
Loved your pics of the trip--the people, the work, the stunning scenery--a post card worthy photo of the Grand Canyon! You and Alta; you and Letty--priceless!
