Sunday My New Years weekend was spent in bed. I am still very much in the process of getting settled into my new room. It's hard going from a three bedroom house to living out of your bedroom so it's all a process. A very slow process of going through everything to see what I need to keep and what I can throw out/sell/give away. Most of the things around my bed are important papers or special projects that I need to finish. After three days of being in bed and looking at all the stuff I made the effort to go through it all Sunday afternoon. This was my before picture but I never took an after picture. Monday Paul was off work and because of some computer work he did at Kathy's office we were able to enjoy a nice meal on company. One of Paul's favorite restaurants is in Mandalay Bay but Kathy wasn't able to get reservations for that one so we ended up going to another restaurant in Mandalay Bay called Stripsteak. Last year I set some goals for myself and I really liked going back and posting updates to make sure I was on track. Of course this only happened the first half of the year because after Mike's home going things unravelled for me. I am now gathering all the pieces and working on getting myself on a new schedule. I'm not sure what God has planned for me in 2011 but what I do know is that I want to bring Him glory. Personal Goals: Stay in closer contact with family and friends ~ I had this goal last year and I think now more than ever I want to make this a habit in my life. Decluttering ~ Now that I live with Paul and Kathy I may not be able to declutter everything but I want to atleast focus in the areas that I can - my bedroom and the craft room. If I can get these two areas of the house organized and declutterd I will be doing good! Food Goals: Try one new recipe a week ~ looking for recipes that Kathy, Paul and I all enjoy. Create a book ~ I would like to get organized ...

Frank was our first guest over for dinner from our new church. I learned that he too is a cruiser. Actually he is quite the world traveler. He told us all about the different places he has visited. Frank and Paul discussing all the different mate sets Paul sharing his musical talent with us. He is really good! Frank looking at all of the Pen's that Paul has made in the past month. Excellent workmanship! It was a fabulous time of fellowship with a brother in Christ!

I bought these really nice Clarks sandals last month. I wore them to work today and all I can say is squeak, squeak, squeak. Every step I took I squeaked. Why? Clarks are good shoes... well made... comfortable. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make them stop squeaking?

The Bible will still have the answers. Prayer will still work. The Holy Spirit will still move. God will still inhabit the praises of His people. There will still be God-anointed preaching. There will still be singing of praise. God will still pour out blessings upon His people. There will still be room at the Cross. Jesus will still love you. Jesus will still save the lost. I was going through a pile of cards that were sent to me back in August and I came across this poem written in one of them. Prayer I know not by what methods rare, But this I know, God answers prayers. I know that He has given His Word, Which tells me prayer is always heard, And will be answered, soon or late, And so I pray and calmly wait. I know not if the blessing sought Will come in just the way I thought; But leave my prayers with Him alone, Whose will is wiser than my own, Assured that He will grant my quest, Or send some answer far more blest.
