Zizzie Happenings

Monday - I have really been focusing on making cards any time I have free. I plan on taking cards to sell at a women's retreat in October so I am working on some Christmas cards. Tuesday - Paul set up the Total Gym for me and he was showing me and Kathy how to use it. We were all laughing so much. I am not sure if I will be able to use it or not but I am going to try. Wednesday - Kathy and I took our friend Cheyenne out to dinner to celebrate her birthday. Cheyenne ordered the Melting Lava cake for her dessert. She loved it. Thursday - Kathy and I have been drinking our NatraBurst drink mixed with orange juice as an afternoon pick me up. It also helps us not be sooo hungry when we get home so we can enjoy a lighter dinner. Friday - Kathy and Paul took me out to a really nice restaurant called Michael's to celebrate my last day of work. Many more picture will be posted tomorrow. Come back and check them out. I just found out that my Uncle Mike and Aunt Rita's house burned down last night. I don't know all the details but I am asking that you pray for God's grace and comfort! Update - I just found out Uncle Mike is in the ER with some burns and major smoke inhalation. Sunday - I had the privilege to be in the nursery. Here is one of the sweet little ones I watched. Monday - We had a cookout and invited several families from church. I also learned a new card game called Scum. Tuesday - With lots of help from my Pastor, I sold the truck and bought this little car. Wednesday - Spent some time in the craft room and here is the end result. Thursday - A few months back I found out that there is a very talented seamstress at our church. After speaking with her, I've decided to take my wedding dress and have it made into a dress that I can use for formal nights on future cruises. I can't wait to see what how it turns out. Friday - This is one of the 6 tins I sold to my coworker today. Saturday - After a very productive morning, we ended the day by playing a game of clue. How was your Memorial Day celebration? ... till my last day of work. Our office is being bought out and with that comes many changes. So after much prayer, I have decided to stay home. I will be taking care of the cooking, cleaning and getting things organized. Lord willing this will open up more opportunities for ministry. I also plan on focusing more on my card making and hope to become better at posting more variety in my Etsy store.

My week started off with having to have some blood drawn to make sure my thyroid medicine was working good. Little did I know the experience would be horrible. The lady stuck the needle in my arm and kept moving it... in and out and all around drying to hit the vain. After I couldn't take it any more, I told her sometimes they take it from my hand. Big Mistake - she did take it from my hand and ended up giving me a huge bruise. My right arm hurt for days. I hope I don't have to experience that again. Kathy and I took some time to get pedicures. We found the best place ever. We go for the "ice cream" pedicure which starts with selecting an "ice cream scoop" which is a ball of salts and oils that gets put in the water. Normally our pedicures last about two hours. They do an awesome job! In addition to the normal pedicure process we also get a scrub, paraffin wax and hot stone message. After two hours of this kind of pampering I am totally relaxed. ...
