They Have Arrived

Mike has been so excited about getting these chicks in the mail. He ordered them on June 28th from Murray McMurray. He wanted to try some new breeds, so he ordered 15 Barred Rock and 10 New Hampshire Red. The label that came on the box says that these chicks were hatched on July 7th at 10 am.

This morning at 6:11 we got a call from the post office letting us know that our chicks were in. This is the box they came in (of course it had a lid on it also but I had to take that off to get this picture) The hatchery gives one free rare breed to every 25 chicks ordered. Can you find the "extra" chick they gave us?
Betsy was really excited to meet her new friends :-)We placed the chicks in their new home...and they have been eating...
and drinking ever since.
