Count Your Blessings

There is a song that says "Count your blessings name them one by one, count your blessings see what God has done" We are so blessed that we end up taking things for granted. Today I just wanted to give thanks for the many things with which God has blessed me.
  • My loving husband
  • Our beautiful little home
  • Our Bible teaching church
  • The privilege to be a housewife
  • The beauty of springtime
  • Being raised in a Christian home
  • For all the freedoms we have
  • For every trial I go through that strengthens my faith in Christ

Job 5:17 Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty

Don't forget to count your blessings!

Thanks for that verse! It puts things into such wonderful perspective... and now that I have chilren that I'm having to "chasten", it makes so much more sense to me now that it used to. God chastens me when I'm in sin or contrary to His guiding, BECAUSE He loves me. Just as I chasten my children because I love them! It's not because I dislike them, but because I love them so much that I desire what is best for them. And what is best for us? To glorify God,to praise Him in all things, and to be in his merciful favor!
