Project365 ~ Week 26

Image
What a week... I feel like I got so much accomplished and I am so happy about that...one thing that helped alot was that I wasn't on Facebook and I didn't blog much. I need to refocus my time and make sure I am being wise with my time management. To start off this week... I got my Cutco knife that Mike bought for me (isn't he the sweetest) This knife is awesome and I use it to cut everything! Our broody hen did it again this week. She sat on 8 eggs for a week and then right before church on Wednesday I went out to collect eggs for the day and she was out of her normal box and in another one... As a temporary fix Mike just put the eggs under her again but he decided we would get a crate and move her into it so we could make sure she sat on these eggs. Mike found this great deal on Craigslist for this dog crate... we went and picked it up...brought it home, cleaned it out...put chicken wire around it...added pine shavings and then moved her and her eggs into this crate. For ...

Created to be His Help Meet ~ 8

Chapter 8 ~ Wisdom to Understand Your Man A wise woman learns to adapt to her husband. Three kinds of Men: Mr. Command Man, Mr. Visionary, Mr. Steady God gives imperfect women to imperfect men so they can be heirs together of the grace of life and become something more together than either one of them would ever be alone. The way you think determines how you will feel, and how you feel influences the way you will act. Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands: that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives; while they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear. I Peter 3:1-2 Time to Consider What type of man is your husband? Keep in mind that most men are a little of all three types, but tend to be stronger in one. Ask God to give you wisdom to see where you need to change to be the perfect help meet for your divinely designed man.

Created to be His Help Meet ~ 7

Chapter 7 ~ Wisdom, While There is Yet Hope A wise woman is always learning. She is open to change. She is ready to hear. She pursues knowledge. When God gave Eve to Adam, he was giving him a helper, not a conscience. Divorce is never planned, but is almost always preceded by certain avoidable reactive behavior and events. Don't let it happen to you. Make up your mind to be a woman of God, regardless of what your husband bought or how dumb he seemed to be in the way he spent money. He practices his faults, and you practice your bitterness. You are both practicing divorce. Have you forgotten why you were created? Come to Jesus just as you are and say to Him: From this day forth I want to be the help meet you created me to be . He is waiting to forgive and love you. God's way works! James 4:17 ~ Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin. Luke 6:49 ~ But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house up...

Project365 ~ Week 25

Image
This picture is actually left over from last week but somehow I forgot to blog about it. This is a fabulous drink that they have at Ruby Tuesdays... it is sweet tea with crushed fresh blackberries... very refreshing! We have a chicken that is walking like a penguin. She has been like this for some time now. I was doing some reading on the Internet and someone suggested feeding her some yogurt. So here I am trying to get her to eat some yogurt. When I first put it down she ignored it. I had to add some of her normal feed to it and then she realized she really liked the yogurt. As far as I can tell the yogurt didn't do anything but it was worth a try. This is how she should be walking...I took a picture of this chicken because she is starting to get some beautiful colored feathers around her neck. You may not be able to see it very well but she has orange and reddish colored feathers. Two weeks ago one of our chickens decided she was going to sit in a box full of eggs and get herse...

Project365 ~ Week 24

I know it's early for Christmas cards but I wanted to get Mom's order out of the way so I can concentrate on other orders and Lord willing as it gets closer to Christmas maybe I will have some card orders to complete and keep me busy. So here are Dad and Mom's Christmas cards for this year. Hope they like them! Mike loves the cobblestone muffin at Panera Bread. We found a Panera's not too far from home that we can enjoy every once in a while. I decided to try their frozen caramel coffee drink. It was wonderful but the reason I took this picture was to show you the size of the straw. It was huge. I have never seen such a large straw. Just a small sip and my mouth was full of the coffee goodness! I decided to try making my own flavored coffee creamer. I looked online and found that all you need is sweetened condensed milk, milk and vanilla extract for a French Vanilla flavoring. So I tried it and it tasted good but it wasn't the same exact flavor you would get from In...

Do You Know These Songs?

Many years ago (don't really remember exactly when it was) my brother Michael and I went on a missions trip to St Lucia. We had a great time helping with VBS, handing out tracks and just getting to know everyone. While in St Lucia we learned some new songs. I wrote the words down to those new songs and I just found those papers this week while I was cleaning through my night stand. Has anyone else ever heard these songs? He that believeth, he that believeth Have an everlasting life He that believeth in the Father and the Son Have an everlasting life When I get to heaven, walk all around Have an everlasting life I will sit by my Savior feet, cast down my crown Have an everlasting life ------------------------- Who's the king of the jungle Who Who Who's the king of the sea Waddle Waddle Waddle Who's the king of the universe and Who's the king of me His name is J E S U S, yes He's the king of the jungle He's the king of the sea He's the king of the universe...
